Danya Supports National Women and Girls’ HIV/AIDS Awareness Day

The Red Pump Project

Danya, as part of our contract to manage the CDC National Prevention Information Network (NPIN), is supporting federal agencies and organizations for National Women and Girls’ HIV/AIDS Awareness Day (NWGHAAD) through Twitter. Through a strong social media partnership with The Red Pump Project, NPIN is participating in their second annual, NWGHAAD Twitter Town Hall event and promoting it through a TwitterView with co-founder Luvvie Ajayi and an interview blog post on The Red Pump Project blog. The TwitterView will highlight the organization’s “Rock the Red Pump” and “500 in 50” campaigns, where they encourage their followers to use social media channels to show their support for the observance day through photo-sharing, tweeting, and blogging.

NPIN also conducted a TwitterView with the new Deputy Executive Director of the National Minority AIDS Council (NMAC), Daniel Montoya. In this discussion, Montoya states the importance of upcoming observance days, and the important issues in prevention and care that are a part of NMAC’s goals and future direction.
